To celebrate Dispatch’s 10th year anniversary, the highly-anticipated and infamous D”FESTA experience is coming to Los Angeles and is preparing to open its doors to the general public very soon! Moon Culture Cafe had the opportunity to attend the Media Day back in July and we are here with some highlights of what to expect.
Located at The Source OC in Buena Park, CA, fans of SEVENTEEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, BTS, ENHYPEN, Stray Kids, NCT 127, NCT Dream, TWICE, and NU’EST can immerse themselves into never before seen photos and memories of the groups throughout their journeys since debut to now.
As you enter, you are greeted with a “D”FESTA LOS ANGELES” sign leading into ‘The Exhibition’ that features photos and signatures and messages from each member of every group. The next room switches color palettes and features a black & white image of each idol – giving a sense of Sensitivity, Lens of the mind, and Monochrome. Following the flow of various rooms, fans get to take a look back through the decade using 490 photos collected and compiled into a “mirror type” concept.
If you know K-Pop, you know all about the use of concept photos for every single comeback. The next room is dedicated to just that – but with D’FESTA exclusive concept photos. Along with the concept photos, each member of each group had the opportunity to write a message for the D’FESTA anniversary, and designed a one-of-a-kind paint piece per group to commemorate the special occasion. As you near the end of the exhibition, fans are able to write a message to their favorite artists, got the opportunity to perform on a virtual stage to their favorite songs from each group, and gets to step into a photo booth to pose with their biases.
To officially wrap up your time with the D’FESTA LA experience (make sure to bring your lightsticks), fans are able to watch ‘‘The Movie ‘’ at CGV cinema that features 45 minutes of exclusive never before seen performance videos from all groups presented in the exhibition, to wrap up the experience.
Overall, we highly recommend everyone to check out this experience once it opens to the public – especially if you’re a multi-stan of all or most of the groups present! Tickets will become available soon. Be sure to follow @dfesta_us for all updates.
